Box Calf

Box Calf

By "box calf" is meant a calf leather tanned with chromium salts: the result is a very durable leather, usually used for the shoe uppers.

The oldest and most prestigious Goodyear welted shoes manufacturer still use this kind of box calf to make their shoes.

For our most valuable footwear, we use a "full grain" box calf, which literally means the skin surface is natural and this is why it is considered more precious, but sometimes it presents some small defects, which is typical of a natural product.
Our "box calf" leather comes from calves grown and tanned in France
